The 2006 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) conference was held in San Antonio, Texas, in the first week of November. |
In unseasonably warm weather, thousands of participants from across the globe flocked to the city’s convention centre to take part in what is probably the pharmaceutical profession’s prime discussion forum.
|
In the adjoining exhibition hall our Pharma Team welcomed visitors to a stand that this year focused on some of the company’s leading excipients. |
Especially keen interest was expressed in Roquette’s new film-forming polymer, LYCOAT®, in its diverse mannitol range (PEARLITOL®); and in the capabilities of its cyclodextrins (KLEPTOSE®). There was also a keen interest in Roquette’s LYCOAT® poster “Functional Advantages of a novel modified starch over HPMC in Aqueous Film Coating of Tablets”.
Nicolas Trentesaux, senior manager of Roquette’s North American Pharma Team noted that:
“… many in the pharma industry have come to recognise the reliability of Roquette’s excipients. We are building on this to create new excipients by working with our pharma partners within a culture of innovation.”
The two-and-half-day exhibition made possible a fruitful exchange of ideas both with partners and with customers and academics. Development relations were fostered and new projects launched.
We thank all the visitors and well-wishers whose presence helped make this event such a success – and we look forward to seeing everyone in San Diego for next year’s AAPS conference!
