The APGI (Association de Pharmacie Galénique Industrielle) is organizing for the first time a workshop dedicated to the coating of solid dosage forms. During the one day event, oral and poster presentations from academia and industry as well as practical demonstrations (in small groups) are foreseen.
The entire spectrum, ranging from: engineering aspects during the coating process, the portfolio of commercially available coating polymers, the underlying drug release mechanisms, characterization methods for thin film coatings, drug release measurement techniques as well as potential pitfalls and hurdles to be overcome during product development will be addressed.
As practical demonstrations are included, the maximum number of participants is limited to 150.
The workshop will be held at the University of Lille, College of Pharmacy, 3 Rue du Professeur Laguesse, 59006 Lille, France.
